Matters of influence and things which make me smile.

B-Sides: Marcus Samuelsson's San Francisco | Travel + Leisure

Here is a wonderful short about unique places in the Richmond District of SF, where I live.

Vesuvio, a North Beach classic watering hole.
beat face on Flickr. My granddaughter Ashby giving us the look. It will take more than a little scratch to put her off her game! The photo above is her sister, and a remarkable similarity!

funny face on Flickr. This is my granddaughter Reese, keeping everyone in stitches. She knows she’s funny and plays it to the hilt.

hollyhocksandtulips:

"It’s It"…If you haven’t tried one…you need to. Used to be you could only find them in the Bay area, but now they are sold at my local markets in So Cal (which may not be a good thing!). Vanilla ice cream (also in mint chip!) between 2 oatmeal cookies dipped in milk chocolate.  Yum.  A pack of 3 for about $2.99…and they don’t skimp!
Would have taken a better pic…but I had already devoured half of it. ;-)

Karakorak: A Portrait of the Hipster by Anatole Broyard

John Lennon's 'Imagine,' Made Into A Comic Strip

Just a reminder!

The bridge to nowhere! This is the old Oakland Bay Bridge being dis assembled, and soon to be gone forever.
A favorite photo of Dad and Daughter, Cassidy and Reese. If we could compress time, which I can from my distant vantage, they would be twins. They are both so huggable!
The lovely Gumenick ladies, Cecile, Lisa and Amy. Displaying the delicious birthday treats, which Amy has already started to devour!
